Blanche Hillyard defeated Maud Shackle 6â3, 6â2 in the All Comers' Final, but the reigning champion Lottie Dod defeated Hillyard 6â8, 6â1, 6â4 in the challenge round to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1893 Wimbledon Championships.[1][2]
